Easy Weekend Meal Ideas

I have not been cooking so much for a while now.  Not so many dishes in one day anyway. My mom-in-law was in town and because she is on a low carb diet program, I decided to make a few suitable dishes for her to enjoy. She has lost 5 kg in 3 weeks. Yippeee!!! Let’s keep this great progress moving on.

Even “Softer” Purple Sweet Potato Bread

I remember last year when I started atouchofally, I had a post on Purple Sweet Potato Buns. I really love the natural purple hue of these buns. So rich in color and taste as well.

To-Die-For Apple Muffins

Muffins are the easiest thing to do. In fact, if you have just started baking and do not own any mixer yet, muffins are the way to go! When I started baking about 5 years ago, muffins were the first thing I baked, Chocolate Chips Muffins actually. ;)

Breastfeeding Stories : Jessica and her milk-drunk baby

Thank you to a follow-up phone call from the hospital nurse on the 5th day. She said, "You can wait 9 months for your baby, why can't you give the both of you a little time, give it a try, you can do it". The first week was tough, sleepless night, sore nipples, being a human pacifier (she rejected 4 brands). Blocked duct every alternate week when I started work. Although the journey was bumpy, her drunken, satisfied expression after feeding really motivates me. Positive thinking and determination is the secret!

Breastfeeding Stories : Kim & Isabelle

December 5th 2014 marked an important date in my breastfeeding (BF) journey: I have reached my first milestone of BF my little girl for 3 months which I was unable to do that with my son six years ago. When I was pregnant with my little girl, I told myself that I will try for the second time to BF. And all my friends said that it will be easier to BF for the second time as we are more experienced. Yet, I was not confident enough.

Breastfeeding Stories : Yvonne & Annabelle

After trying for several years, I was elated to finally get pregnant naturally. I was excited to learn as much as I can about motherhood especially breastfeeding. Having heard so many stories from my cousins and friends that it would not be an easy journey, I wanted to prepare myself as much as possible. I signed up for a breastfeeding class, read online articles and forums, and sought guidance from experienced mothers.

Almost Perfect Chinese Roast Chicken

I luurrrve Chinese Roast Chicken. It has something to do with the smokey, salty-sweet soy sauce flavor on the skin and the burst of juiciness when you bite into the smooth succulent meat of the chicken thigh that might drip onto your chin and all over your plate. Whoa… I am starting to salivate just typing that.
